ASTLEY and Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club are inviting people to their twice weekly club practice sessions.
Whether you've ridden before or are a complete newcomer, riders of any age and ability, male or female, will be made welcome. The club has bikes and helmets for hire, at just £2 per session. Club sessions are run by the Club's qualified Level 2 British Cycling Club Coaches.
A & T are pre-season training at present, in preparation for the opening league match on Sunday 30th March. The club are looking to recruit some new local riders, so here is an opportunity to gain a place in one of A & T's teams.
A & T boast excellent facilities and have achieved the prestigious Clubmark accreditation from Sport England. The floodlit track is located adjacent to the Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare Club, Meanley Road, Gin Pit, Astley. M29 7DW. Training sessions take place on Sundays (2 pm for juniors aged 13 and under, followed at 3 pm for seniors aged 14 and over) and on Tuesdays (7 pm for juniors aged 13 and under, followed at 8 pm for seniors aged 14 and over).
