SPORT City Velo’s Adam Yates staked his claim firmly on the overall Under-16s Group ‘A’ yellow winner’s jersey despite a strong challenge from Ribble Valley Juniors’ Lewis Balycki during the third and final week of the Terry Dolan Schoolboy Races hosted by Southport Cycling Club at Victoria Park.
Meanwhile in the Under-14s Group ‘B’, Eastlands Velo’s Jacob Ragan took overall victory with 47 points, while runners-up were Nick Barnes (Seacroft Whlrs) and Matt Rotherham (Eastlands Velo).
Cleveland Wheelers’ Charlie Tandfield took the yellow jersey in the Under-12s Group ‘C’, closely followed by Sam Turton (Ribble Valley CRC) and Christian Braybrooke (Eastlands Velo).
In the Under-10s Group ‘D’, Matt Draper Team (Scottish Provident IOM) won the yellow jersey followed by Leighton Sharman (Liverpool Century RC) and Matthew Braybrooke (Eastlands Velo).
Finally, in the Under-8s Group ‘E’, Kieron Morris (Mid Shropshire Whrls) beat Kim Baptistia (Eastlands Velo) and Toby Tanfield Cleveland (Whrs CC).
